Since there is no public event 'Fall Crawl' for 2009 - we probably ought to figure out if there will be a 2010 Fall Crawl.

If there is - where will it be?

I spoke for a few minutes with Derek, when I was down at Johnson earlier this summer. They would be glad to work with us to put on a 'Fall Crawl' down there - if it came to that. Their insurance is for a year at a time, and with GT4W being in the MW4WDC now, we would have coverage (theoretically) for whatever they could not cover. The expense to them for adding one more event would be very low, especially with GT4W people doing the work.

I don't know if this matter is best left for the meeting coming up, or if we want to hash it out on the web, but I want to get the ball rolling.

The Fall Crawl is how I got here (GT4W) in the first place, and I bet the same thing applies for at least half of our newer members.
I understand the desire to take a year off from it - and even the fact that it was a necessity this year. But Members are where money comes from for a truck club. And a truck club might soon be the only way people can wheel. So it probably serves GT4W best to have these things out on the table and planned out in advance to draw people and add members.

Thanks in advance
Dave

As far as I know we took the year off due to land issues and plan on resuming the Fall Crawl at The Humps for 2010 since Ken now owns all the land outright. At least from what I have heard. Haven't had any discussion about it yet but I am sure it will be brought up at the meeting in October and again at the February end of year meeting. I personally feel it should be face to face discussions instead of web based so we get all the details. It is a good idea to get the ball rolling so we don't have to kick it in to overdrive last minute.

That sounds good to me, and that is very good news about the land.
